Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI) and the Best Execution obligation together form a modern regulatory framework designed to elevate the standard of conduct for broker‑dealers and strengthen protections for retail investors. Although they address different stages of the investment process, both rules share a common purpose: ensuring that investors receive recommendations and trade executions that genuinely serve their financial interests.
