Half of Marketplace Insurers Plan to Raise Premiums in 2019
eHealth recently released results from a survey of insurers about their plans for market participation in 2019. Here are some key findings on premium pricing from the report:
• 50% of marketplace insurers plan to raise premiums between 5 and 10% in 2019.
• 1 in 4 marketplace insurers plan to reduce premiums in 2019.
• 25% of ACA marketplace insurers plan no change in premiums at all for 2019.
