BEWARE “CLICK-BAIT” SCHEMES [just like this one]

I never joined up! So, I don’t have to leave.

#DeleteFacebook is trending

What-Up with your Facebook account?

The hashtag #DeleteFacebook is trending on Twitter.

People are furious, and they have good reason to be. Data from over 50 million Facebook users was used to target voters and influence the 2016 US presidential election, as well as the 2016 “Brexit” referendum.

So – How do you permanently delete your Facebook account?

To permanently delete your account, read the Facebbok FAQ topic on How do I permanently delete my account?

  1. Ha! Ha! GOOD ONE!

Did you know that Elon Musk is joining a growing group of people in the tech industry who have taken aim at social media companies and Facebook in particular?

YEP – Aaron Levie, CEO of cloud computing company Box, recently tweeted: “The days of arguing that (and acting like) tech companies are merely platforms and pipes are behind us.”

And, Marc Benioff, CEO of business software company Salesforce, recently started equating social media to smoking cigarettes.

I’m outta there and Z talks to Congress next week.

  4. Mark Z.

Is it time for him to step down as CEO?

  5. FB Stock Update

Worse stock trading day of 2019. Yet still up 24% YTD. Instagram saved it. Any thoughts?

  6. People are calling for Zuckerberg’s resignation.
Here are just five reasons why.

A petition has been launched with one simple objective: force Mark Zuckerberg to resign as CEO of Facebook.

Why? The campaign group behind it says that although there’s no “silver bullet” to “fix” Facebook, the company cannot address its underlying problems while Zuckerberg is in charge.

Another potential solution: The company could be broken up, and the US could bring in new data privacy regulations, as this piece by one of Facebook’s co-founders describes.

Chances of success? It’s highly unlikely Zuck will step down voluntarily, and there’s not much Facebook’s board can do either since he controls about 60% of all voting shares.

    NOTE: The privacy irony
