  2. 9.5 Million Working Americans Gained Coverage From 2010-2015

    The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation recently published an analysis on coverage gains under the ACA. Here are some key findings from the report:

    • Farming & construction saw 13.4 % point increase in insured workers by 2015.
    • Transportation & health support workers saw an increase of 9.6 % points.
    • Workers making < $15/hour in 2010 saw coverage increase by 14.3 % points.
    • 6.0 million lived in states that expanded Medicaid eligibility under the ACA.
    • 9.5 million working Americans under age 65 gained coverage from 2010-2015.
    • 77% of those who gained coverage under the ACA were working Americans.
