The Scott Brown versus Healthcare Reform Poll

The Sott Brown Opinion Poll

By Staff Writers

In what some pundits are calling the “Boston Massacre” in liberal Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to win the US Senate seat held by the late Edward M. Kennedy for nearly half a century, leaving President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul in doubt and marring the end of his first year in office.

As a financial advisor, we know you are aware of the rise in healthcare stocks yesterday. And, as a medical executive or healthcare professional, we know you have been against the public option, and healthcare reform, in its current version.  The AMA is not your friend – nor does it represent you.

The Question Is?

And so, do you believe that last Tuesday’s Republican victory in Massachusetts means the current Democratic health care bill will not be on the President’s desk in 2010?

National, socialized, democratic and/or single-payer healthcare “reform” is dead in the USA. My prediction is that we end up with nothing; as usual … money and time wasted!

Nevertherless, we should fix what is broken about the sytem, and adopt best-of-breed standards.

  2. Editor’s Note:

The healthcare reform process now returns to the House Ways and Means Committee. Members are discussing the possibility of dividing the healthcare reform bill into separate areas.

For example, there could be one bill on patients’ rights, a second on healthcare insurers and a third to cover medical liability reform. Given the fact that this is now an election year, it will be challenging to pass major legislation before the November elections.

Thank you for taking the opportunity to talk about this political machination. I feel fervently about Scott Brown and benefited from this post. Also, remember that Brown voted for the Health Care bill that Mitt Romney put through the MA state legislature.

Please, as you grow, include more political commentary on healthcare and finance. I find it really useful.
