Who he Is – Wither the VA Imbroglio
According to Wikipedia; Eric Ken Shinseki (/ʃɨnˈsɛki/; born November 28, 1942) is a retired United States Army four-star general who has served since 2009 as the seventh United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
His final U.S. Army post was as the 34th Chief of Staff of the Army (1999–2003). He is a veteran of combat in the Vietnam War, where he sustained a foot injury.

Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki testified on Thursday May 15, 2014 for the first time since a burgeoning scandal broke on allegedly deadly health care delays in the VA system, as he faces calls for his resignation and demands that the VA immediately improve the way it treats America’s vets.

But, Dr. Robert Petzel, the undersecretary for health at the VA, did just resign in the wake of allegations that employees in the VA health-care system kept unauthorized patient appointment wait lists that made wait times seem shorter than they actually were.

Hold your Horses,
This “resignation” was really a pre-planned retirement announced three weeks ago with a replacement waiting in the wings.

V.A. Whistleblower Identifies Herself
[Ordered to keep lists]
A scheduling employee for the Phoenix VA Health Care System disclosed Monday that she was the keeper of a “secret list” of veterans who waited months for medical care.

More on Shinseki’s Resignation
The VA system represents government bureaucracy and inefficiency at its finest. At the Edward Hines VA Hospital, in the president’s home town of Chicago, only one-fourth of their 4,230 employees are actually providing primary medical care.
What are the other 75 percent of employees doing? Shuffling papers, creating secret wait lists, or holding meetings?
