According to their website, WEGO Health is the home of Health Activists [HAs] – vigorous advocates, avid connectors, daily contributors and social media opinion leaders that bring the expertise of having “been there and survived that.”

Definition

Health Activists are group leaders and forum moderators, bloggers and book authors, coaches and caregivers; a community of people who care deeply about others, with a passion for sharing knowledge and experience for the greater good. They work at large health sites, or for small non-profits; they publish blogs and web sites, or we use free tools. They manage teams of volunteers or launch businesses; and fill conference halls or their own living rooms.

To Connect and Empower

HAs don’t replace jobs, blogs or groups with WEGO Health – they come to connect with each other, and to be empowered to follow their passion. Health Activists make WEGO Health a part of their overscheduled lives because they find what they need: a voice to reach more people, access information, and the power to create what’s missing with tools to be more effective.
