  1. 19.2% of US Adults Received Mental Health Treatment in 2019

    The National Center For Health Statistics recently released an analysis of mental health treatment among adults in the US. Here are some key findings from the report:

    • In 2019, 19.2% of adults had received any mental health treatment in the past 12 months.
    • 1 in 4 women received mental health treatment in 2019, compared with 13.4% of men.
    • 15.8% of adults had taken medication for their mental health in 2019.
    • 9.5% of adults received counseling or therapy from a mental health professional in 2019.
