WHAT IS KNOWLEDGE?

Knowledge is a familiarity, awareness or understanding of someone or something like facts, information, descriptions or skills acquired through experience, schooling and education by perceiving, discovering or learning. Such basic science education, tools, techniques and medical career knowledge was a common theme of yesterday’s visit to Tuskegee University as I was reminded of this famous sculpture on the beautiful campus.
Here, artist Charles Keck portrayed Booker T. Washington’s goal of bringing his people a better life through education. He is depicted lifting the “veil of ignorance” symbolized by a terrified slave. The slave holds a book representing knowledge thru education as he crouches on a plow and anvil, representing tools of agriculture and industry.

But, what is knowledge today? Forgive my meager attempt to answer this modern query.
