    According to CDW’s 2017 Patient Engagement Perspectives Study, 70% of patients are becoming more knowledgeable about personal medical information in 2017; 60% of patients are saving time, 50% of patients are increasing overall engagement with personal healthcare, 49% are seeing improvement in overall healthcare convenience, and 46% of people are saving unnecessary phone calls and appointments.

  3. 87% of Healthcare Workers Use Non-Secure Email to Send Sensitive Data

    Kickstand Communications and Biscom recently conducted a poll of healthcare employees regarding secure data sharing. Here are some key findings from the report:

    • 87% of healthcare workers admit to using non-secure email to send sensitive information.
    • 1 in 10 workers admit they do not abide by rules around secure data transfer.
    • 88% of healthcare employees understand tools and rules around security.
    • 2 in 3 (64%) healthcare workers say email is the easiest tool for sharing data.
