  1. 38.7% of Adults Were Unable to Receive Care Due to the Pandemic

    The CDC recently released results from the Research and Development Survey (RANDS). Here are some key findings on reduced care access due to the pandemic:

    • 38.7% of US adults were unable to receive care in the last two months due to the pandemic.
    • 1 in 4 adults were unable to receive dental care due to the pandemic.
    • 3.2% of adults had reduced access to prescription medications due to the pandemic.
    • 12.7% of adults had reduced access to a regular checkup due to the pandemic.

  2. Kaiser Family Foundation recently released survey results on coronavirus and the upcoming election.

    Here are some key findings from the report:

    • 1 in 5 voters say the coronavirus outbreak (20%) is the top issue in the election.
    • 62% are worried that political pressure will lead the FDA to rush to approve a vaccine.
    • 2 in 5 say the FDA is paying “too much attention” to politics regarding pandemic treatments.
    • Four in ten (38%) now say “the worst is yet to come” with regard to the coronavirus.
