2 in 3 Health Organizations Have Compromised Email Credentials
Evolve IP recently released a study on healthcare email security breaches. Here are some key findings from the report:
• 2 in 3 healthcare organizations have employees with compromised emails.
• 3 in 4 compromised accounts included actionable password information for sale.
• 23% of these stolen passwords are found in clear text on the dark web.
• Regional health plans were least secure with 80.4% of organizations compromised.
• 63% of healthcare breaches are caused by compromised email credentials.
• 7,500 individual security incidents occurred due to these compromises.
