The Survey
For example, according to a survey by the “Physicians Foundation”, 89% of respondents believe the traditional model of independent private practice “is a dinosaur soon to go extinct.”

Thank you so much for highlightling this article!
Many of its points are true, although I do disagree with a couple of things, s.a. the income of physicians (where I work docs are paid much less) and the future of the concept of the EHR (I don’t think that doctors will eventually succomb to becoming data processing clerks as the article states).

In a recent New York Times essay, he may or may not have been projecting his own current feelings of disillusion onto the entire medical profession.
He writes about the sorry state of medical practice today.
