47% of Consumers Would Be Comfortable Getting Care From a Tech Company
PwC recently published an analysis of top health industry issues for 2019. Here are some key findings on consumer attitudes on alternative care from the report:
• 47% of consumers would be comfortable getting healthcare from a large tech company.
• More than half (54%) would receive hospital care at home if it cost less.
• Of those who had a hospital stay, 78% say some visits could have occurred virtually.
• 78% are interested in a ‘menu’ of care options including local providers and virtual care.
