  2. More than half of the population within correctional facilities have a mental health ailment. Some decompensate during their stay. Yet most contracts for millions of dollars with privatized healthcare, have mental health workers, therapists, psych NP, and a psychiatrist budgeted as part of the RFP. They get paid to provide mental health services as specifically. Counties and states pay for this service, yet this specific service is performing substandard by these corporations within prisons and jails. Just my feedback.
