  1. 5% of American Children Were Uninsured in 2017

    Georgetown University Health Policy Institute recently released research on children’s health coverage trends. Here are some key findings from the report:

    • An estimated 276,000 more children were uninsured in 2017 than in 2016.
    • The share of uninsured children increased from 4.7% in 2016 to 5% in 2017.
    • More than 1 in 5 uninsured children in the U.S. reside in Texas.
