ACA exchanges’ silver premiums decrease an average .8% for 2015

Premiums for the silver insurance premium plan that is used to benchmark tax credits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will fall by an average .8% in 2015, while premiums for the lowest-cost bronze option will increase by an average of 3.3%.

11.7% of Adults Are Uninsured in 2017
The Gallup-Sharecare Well-Being Index recently released an updated report of uninsured rates. Here are some key findings from the report:
• The percentage of uninsured adults grew in the second quarter of 2017 to 11.7%
• The uninsured rate reached a record low of 10.9% in Q3 and Q4 of 2016.
• The current uninsured rate is 6.3% lower than it was at its peak in 2013.
• The uninsured rate has risen 1.9 points among those aged 18-25 since 2016.
• For those aged 26-34, the uninsured rate rose 1.5 points since the end of 2016.
• 2.3% of adults age 65+ report being uninsured in the second quarter of 2017.
