1 in 5 Physician Practices Have Laid Off Non-Essential Staff
Definitive Healthcare recently released data on the impact of COVID-19 on acute care organizations. Here are some key findings on physician practice staffing:
• Nearly half (48%) of physician practices have re-purposed acute staff due to COVID-19.
• 1 in 3 physician practices have re-purposed non-acute staff.
• 46% of practices have at-risk, non-frontline staffers working from home.
• 1 in 5 physician practices have laid off non-essential staff.
