Launching Google +
We all know about the demise of Google Health, as well as the new Google+ initiative. So, this post is by no means a prediction about Google+.
In fact, if the initial reviews (which are mixed but with some heavy hitters buying in pretty big) then maybe, just maybe, this list won’t include the latest social effort from the search giant.
For now though, it is interesting to see just how much experimentation the Goog has done and they haven’t been afraid to fail – even entering the healthcare arena!
And, to show the continued pace of product flameouts, just this past weekend Realtime Search was shelved (it is supposed to be back we just don’t know when) and now Wonder Wheel meeting a more permanent fate.

Google + Physicians can optimize their online footprint
Google + has launched in beta stages and social networking for physicians has the potential for significant evolution. The challenge for physicians of balancing personal and professional online is not easy to solve. And, a dual citizenship approach provides recommendations for physicians to manage their profiles online.
It is suggested that separate personal and professional profiles are created, with the hope that the latter will rank higher in searches. It is also recommend undertaking “electronic self-audit” to identify potential online conflicts.

About early HIT Patient Adopters
While roughly one-fourth to one-third of U.S. adults have been early adopters of consumer technologies in general across low-moderate-and-high health concern segments, more of those with greater health concerns tended to use health tech products in the past twelve months: 40% of the highest concerned people vs. 25% of those with moderate health concerns and 14% of those at the lowest-concern level.

Bye-bye Google Reader

To Ban Google Glass?
Google Glass is a new twist on technology which hasn’t had clearly stated limits on the locations in US communities where it can and cannot be used. In order to protect our communities we need limitations to prevent indecent public surveillance of our friends, children, and families.
Yet, it is hard to prevent it because the hardware gives no notification that it is recording an individual at any given time.
