  1. A common theme is present in some of these questions which have been posed by clients. Practicing physicians do not fully appreciate how complete and accurate financial statements can be used as tools to improve the health of the practice.

A good accounting of practice costs can help the physician to identify potential areas of cost containment and assets which can be used more efficiently and productively.

Moreover, an accurate financial picture can translate into increased capital from a lender which can be used to expand a practice or add new services. Healthy liquidity and solvency ratios can also lead to lower capital costs charged by lenders.
