Just remember that I would say roughly 7 milliion people who have voted for him for the past 2-3 decades would disagree with you!

President Barack H. Obama used his weekly address to appoint Margaret “Peggy” Hamburg as PDA commissioner and Dr. Joshua Sharfstein as FDA deputy commissioner. Obama spent much of the address talking about food safety–and his desire to completely overhaul it. He created a “working group” to recommend changes in safety, which could culminate in an entirely new agency focused on food.

If genuine, he should call for the resignation of Tommy Irvin, of Georgia.

Well, I just learned that the Peanut Corporation of America, the processing company at the heart of a national salmonella outbreak originating in Georgia, is going out of business. The Lynchburg based PCA filed for Chapter 7 in US Bankruptcy Court in Virginia, this day.

Now, if only Tommy Irvin of the Georgia Department of Agriculture would resign. Talk about a last-generation dinosaur. He makes the South look like a laughing stock and confirms every “bubba” stereotype against us.

Stewart Parnell, owner of Peanut Corporation of America, repeatedly invoked his right not to incriminate himself before the House subcommittee on the salmonella outbreak blamed on his company. The outbreak has sickened some 600 people, may be linked to nine deaths, and has resulted in one of the largest product recalls of more 1,800 items.
